Maier Memorial Youth Fellowship was started with the small beginning with the handful of youth in the year 1987 which later declined and was restarted in the year 1993 by Br. Prince Deodhar.
At the early stage of this youth work Br. Elish Mullur, Dr. Daniel Kotie and some others also stood along with him. It was the prayers of many and guidance of the Holy Spirit that motivated the youth work in Maier Memorial Church.
It has started with prayer walk, conducting care cells in different colonies, motivating the youths to grow in interpersonal relationships, giving awareness regarding the Word of God, responsibility towards self, family and church. As a result God enabled to start regular bible study once in a week, organize colony prayers, open air meetings etc… And also visited number of villages sharing the Gospel, conducting retreats in the village churches and during lent days visited different CSI village churches and shared the Gospel.
In the year 1995-99 Rev. Dr. J. M. Jogula has inaugurated and encouraged colony prayer in Heggeri. Bro. Prince Deodhar worked in Heggeri conducting regular house prayer meetings and Sunday school with the support of Late Mr. Daniel Kari and Late Mr. Alfred Young on regular basis. The Lord used youth fellowship during these years to pioneer the ministry work of Heggeri and as a result the Lord established the church at Heggeri
Because of the continuous follow up work many youths came to the knowledge of salvation the Lord transformed their life, delivered from habits and changed their thought pattern. The Lord blessed the Youth Fellowship as some of our youths today are working as teachers, as business man, in MNC’s, government departments, private companies and some of them are working in NGO’s. Twelve of them are in full time ministry some in CSI and others in different missionary organizations. Many of our senior youths today are working as well as serving the Lord and leading a witnessing family life.
At present boys come as a fellowship on every Monday at 7:00pm and Girls on every Friday at 7:00pm
